PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for repositioning tubes in a tube rack so that the tubes are properly positioned in the tube rack.SOLUTION: The device comprises; a stationary base (4); a mount (10); one or more grippers (23) coupled to the mount (10), each gripper (23) comprising a pair of gripping arms provided with gripping portions for gripping a tube; at least one biasing element (27) coupled to the gripping arms such that the gripping portions can be moved towards or away from each other; and at least one blocking element (11) configured to be engaged with the biasing element (27) to block movement of the biasing element (27) relative to the mount (10) against elastic force during a first period, in which the mount (10) is moved in a first moving direction so as to move the gripping portions towards each other, and configured to be disengaged from the biasing element (27) before a second period, in which the mount (10) is moved in a second moving direction so as to allow the gripping portions to be resiliently moved away from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
