PURPOSE: To establish a freatmont method for a constricted part of an artery branch blood vessel which is simple and highly reliable, and provide a balloon type inflation catheter capable of being manufactured simply at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A balloon type inflation catheter has a first lead-in pipe extending within the catheter shaft 21 for its overall length approximately, wherein one end of the pipe is coupled with a pump 14 installed at the tail of the shaft 21 and the other end is led into the catheter inflation part 22. A supporting wire 3 fixed to this catheter 1 is pierced through the first lead-in pipe. The shaft 21 is equipped with an additional lead-in pipe 9, and communication to the external field is generated via an opening 10 provided behind the inflation part 22. Into the additional lead-in pipe 9, a guide wire 20 can be led in, which is controllable through a mounting member 16, and it is also possible to couple an appropriate measuring device 19, etc. |
