PURPOSE:To give the alloy obtained by ultra-quenching an R-T-B alloy melt re-crystal aggregation system excellent in magnetic anisotropy by phase-changing through heating process accompanied by H2 taking-in and discharge. CONSTITUTION:The ultra-quenching material consisting chiefly of one or more kinds of rare earth elements (R) including Y, Fe or transition metals consisting of Fe and Co, and B is kept in H2 gas atmosphere or in the mixture gas atmosphere of H2 gas and inert gas at 500-1100 deg.C, and then quenched in the atmosphere with H2 gas pressure below 1X10-<1> Torr. R accounts for 5-30 atom%, B for 2-20 atom%, and the remains of Fe, further, R accounts for of 5-30 atom%, B for 2-20 atom%, Co for 0.01-50 atom% and the remains of Fe. So, the rare earth magnet material having high magnetic characteristics is obtained without homogenizing process which requirs an extended period of high temperature. |
