PURPOSE:To provide the title catalyst carrier having good catalytic efficiency not decelerating exhaust gas in the vicinity of cell walls and preventing the exhaust gas from straightly passing through cells, excellent in strength and capable of being reduced in weight and enhanced in strength because no flat plate is used. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst carrier has a honeycomb structure formed by alternately arranging corrugated plates 5 in a multilayer fashion so as to form a roll shape or a laminated block shape as a whole. The corrugated plates 5 are integrated so as to be demarcated in the axial direction of the whole and the corrugation pitches of respective demarcated parts 8 are mutually shifted between the adjacent corrugated plates 5. Since the corrugated plates 5 form cell walls, exhaust gas passes through cells as turblent flow to form equal speed distribution and does not flow linearly because of turblent flow and fulcrums are also dispersed and the catalyst carrier can be formed without using a flat plate 2.
