The pressurised-water nuclear reactor comprises a massive reflector consisting of a stack of rings. At least some of the plugs (32) occupying the holes in the rings comprise a crown ring for bearing on a shoulder (30) of a corresponding ring, the crown ring being machined to define channels inclined in relation to the vertical so as to impart a circumferential velocity component to the water travelling along the annular passages around the plugs. ……
