PURPOSE: To provide a seat cushion having a long service life, long-term complete sitting feelings and further high burning resistance, which is adaptable to the abnormal load of a general vehicle, especially, of an aircraft. CONSTITUTION: Concerning a seat 4 in particular for an aircraft, this seat is provided with a supporting body 6 of a foamed plastic with a spring core 9 embedded therein, a flame-proofing layer 36 of flame-retarded plastic foam and a covering material 44 connected preferably detachably.
