PURPOSE:To obtain a convenient document editing environment by reading ruled line information in a document when an operator instructs a desired ruled line to change a corner part, discriminating the corner part concerning the ruled line information and changing the corner part. CONSTITUTION:This method is provided with a document memory 1 to store document information such as character ruled line information or character information, etc., document memory display means 2 to display the document based on the information on the document memory 1, ruled line corner part change instructing means 3 to promote the change of the corner part of the ruled line. Further, the method is equipped with a character ruled line discriminating means 4 to read the character ruled line information, ruled line corner part discriminating means 5 to automatically retrieve the corner part on the ruled line, ruled line corner part changing means 6 to change the discriminated corner part. When it is desired to change the shape of the corner part of the character ruled line written in the document, the ruled line corner part change is instructed while setting a cursor at one point on the linked character ruled line. Thus, the corner parts of the character ruled lines can be simultaneously changed with simple operations. |
