PURPOSE:To provide a rare earth permanent magnet containing R-Fe-Cu phase as a constitution phase and the manufacturing method which includes hot working and thermal treatment after molding the magnet. CONSTITUTION:This permanent magnet contains basic components R, Fe, B and Cu and has R-Fe-Cu phase as a constitution phase. In manufacturing the magnet, ingots are worked at above 500 deg.C and then thermally treated at 400-800 deg.C. For higher performance, they are thermally treated at 800-1100 deg.C after working. The permanent magnet having such features as above provides high magnetic characteristics, especially high coercive force. |
