PURPOSE:To alter a part of a received mixed mode document to transfer it to a third station. CONSTITUTION:When data in a block can be substituted for other data, a code showing it is written in block information on the concerned block in a block generation part 11. A repeater station receiving the document to which the code is added detects the code of the block in an alteration possible block detection part 13. When an alteration execution judgement part 14 judges that data substitution for the block is to be executed, substitution data is supplied from a substitution data storage part 15 to a document memory 2b. Further, when a blank part discrimination part 16 detects that there is a blank part in the received document, information stored in an additional information storage part 17 is supplied to the document memory 2b. A part of the received document is substituted for the substitution data, and the document to which additional information is added is transferred to a terminal station through a communication control part 6b. |
