PURPOSE:To synthesize numerous inputted signals and to select and output the required picture signal from among the inputted or synthesized picture signals. CONSTITUTION:A binary picture signal Bi2 inputted from a PDL processing unit 2 is temporarily stored in a FIFO 41 and read out from the FIFO 41 while taking a picture clock VCLK 1 of a natural picture processing unit 1 as a clock so as to be synthesized with a binary picture signal Bi1 to be inputted from the natural picture processing unit 1, becoming a binary picture signal Bi2. Further, the Bi2 is synthesized with the Bi1 in an OR gate 43, becoming a binary picture signal Bi5. Selectors a42 and (b) select multilevel picture signals V1, Bi1, Bi2, or Bi5 inputted from the natural picture processing unit 1. |
