PURPOSE:To obtain the laser beam of high output and high efficiency by suppressing the reduction of laser output after starting oscillation of the laser beam. CONSTITUTION:In a metal vapor laser device in which metal vapor is generated by heating metal particles (copper) by discharging electricity from a vacuum container 2, and a laser L is oscillated by exciting the above-mentioned metal vapor, a feeding device 16 of the molecular gas such as hydrogen is prepared, and the molecular gas is fed into the vacuum container 2 from the molecular gas feeding device after the metal particles 13 have been dissolved. As a result, problem of discontinuous output of the laser beam is prevented, and the output and efficiency of the metal vapor laser device can be improved. |
