PURPOSE:To provide the howling suppressing device which does not extend the circuit scale and is hardly affected by wide-band audio signal components and suppresses howling signal components. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with adaptive signal output means 6, 7, and 8 (a delay device 6, an adaptive filter 7, and an adder 8) which attenuate wide-band audio signal components from the input signal, which is gathered by a sound gathering means 1 like a microphone and has a wide-band audio signal of sounds or the like and a howling signal mixed, relatively to the howling signal component and a signal analysis means 9 which performs frequency analysis of the output signal of the adaptive signal output means 7. In addition, the device is provided with a howling detecting means 10 which detects the howling frequency based on the result of the signal analysis means 9 and a suppression control means 12 which controls suppression of the input signal or the component of the howling frequency based on the detection result of the howling detecting means 10. |
