PURPOSE:To enable the continuation of processing over the entire length of a work by executing the processing to automatically change over clamping with the laser beam machine which is changed in the processing region of a work by the gripping position of the work. CONSTITUTION:This laser beam machine has a work clamping device which grips one end of the work, a clamp driving device which moves this work clamping device relatively with the laser beam processing head disposed on the table surface of this device and an NC unit which controls the relative motions of both and executes laser beam processing while controlling the relative motions of both in order to process the work to a predetermined processing shape. The above-mentioned laser beam machine is provided with an expand processing device which substantially expands the processing region of the work by automatically changing over the work clamping when the processing position emerges from the processing possible region. |
