<p>PURPOSE:To provide a device which electrically charges fine particles in the air where fine particles do not generate due to the emission of an ultraviolet beam in a space where fine particles are treated. CONSTITUTION:A device for charging fine particles 6 in the space electrically consists of an ultraviolet ray source 2, a photoelectron release material 3 which generates photoelectrons due to the irradiation of an ultraviolet rays and an electrode 4 for creating an electric field. A light shielding material 9 is used for preventing an ultraviolet ray from penetrating through an area between a space part B, where a photoelectron release part composed of the photoelectron release material 3 and the electrode 4, is present and a space part A other than the former space part B. The light shielding material is provided with an open part through which the fine particles move between both space parts.</p> |
