PURPOSE: To provide a polymer composition for use in a blood collection tube, etc., whereby the barrier characteristics against the anti-gas permeability is enhanced and the preserving lifetime is prolonged by forming the composition from a polymer base material resin, resin to be oxidized, and an oxidative catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A tube 10 for blood collection and a stopper 14 to block its open end 11 are formed from a composition containing a polymer base material resin (a) consisting of polyester substituent resin such as polyethylenenapthalene-2,6-dicarboxylate, a resin to be oxidized (b) consisting of polyamide resin of methaxylylenediamine and adipic acid, and oxidative catalyst (c) consisting of cobalt carboxylate. That is, in a first molding process, a blend of the materials (a) and (b) is molded into highpolymer blend under existence of the catalyst (c), followed by a second molding process from which the final product is formed. |
