PURPOSE:To enable the input of an objective character string even in any mode by switching the mode when inputting the objective character string by preparing plural modes for designating the character string of a processing object, and selecting the desired mode on a stage when an operator processes the character string. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a character string mode switching means 4 to switch the input mode of the objective character string, character string input means 5 to directly input the objective character string to a character string input window, and character string range designating means 6 to designate the character string in a document. Further, a range character string fetching means 7 is provided to fetch the character string of which is the range designated, into the character string input window, and an objective character string output means 8 is provided to output the character string in the character string input window as the objective character string. In this case, since the input mode of the character string can be selected when designating the character string in various processings, the character string is inputted in the mode desired by the operator or in the mode corresponding to conditions when executing the processing. |
