Shift frequency components of a measured Doppler shift signal are multiplied desired times so as to eliminate aliasing or permit precise detection of slow targets. A phase difference obtained at a time in a very short period is substituted with a phase difference obtained in a period longer than the very short period. The frequency conversion is applicable to the continuous wave Doppler system and the pulsed Doppler system.
