The invention relates to a hatch for a ship which is provided with a flap, a support frame which can be attached to a structural wall, such as a deck or a cabin deck of a ship and which bears a flap-support part, which itself supports the flap by means of hinges. The object of the invention is to provide a hatch which gives optimum ventilation and is extremely secure against the ingress of water, to which end there is provision for the support frame to bear a circular support part for the flap-support part. <IMAGE>
