PURPOSE:To prevent the ablation of a battery due to the formation of an external circuit by welding a lead terminal on a battery terminal face, dipping it in a required aqueous solution, and forming insulating resin on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A lead terminal 7 is welded to the sealing plate 1 of a negative electrode battery terminal face. Only the portion of the terminal 7 is dipped in a 5%-aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol and dried, and an insulating film 8 of insulating resin of polyvinyl alcohol with the thickness of 10-20mum is formed on the surface. No external circuit is formed because of this film 8, and the unnecessary ablation of a battery due to the formation of an external circuit is prevented. A similar effect can be obtained when the lead terminal 7 is welded to a positive electrode battery terminal face. |
