PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bread maker without requiring setting of a making method by a user and a bread material pack applied to the bread maker.SOLUTION: There are provided: a bread maker 1 that can accommodate a bread material pack 9 with color marks 91 on a package 90 and make a bread by using bread materials held in the package 90 of the bread material pack 9; and the bread material pack 9. Infrared-ray reception/emission means 21 that can emit/receive an infrared signal toward the color marks 91 on the bread material pack 9 accommodated in the bread maker 1, and a controller with determination means for determining and outputting a making method on the basis of a received infrared signal are attached to the bread maker 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
