PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welding method in which an electrode is hardly damaged even when resistance welding is repeatedly performed.SOLUTION: A resistance welding method includes: a pressurizing step (S3) of pressurizing a member (W) to be welded while sandwiching the member (W) to be welded between a pair of electrodes (1 and 2) formed of tungsten or tungsten alloy; and a resistance welding step (S4) of energizing the pair of electrodes (1 and 2) and performing resistance welding. The resistance welding method further includes a preheating step (S2) of preheating the pair of electrodes (1 and 2) to a preheating temperature (Te1) before the pressurizing step (S3). The preheating temperature (Te1) is within a range between a temperature where a ductile fracture rate of the electrodes (1 and 2) becomes 80% and a temperature where a ductile fracture rate of the electrodes (1 and 2) becomes 95%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
