PURPOSE:To avoid stopping of a whole device and prevent lowering of the productivity by realizing re-setting of the tape feeding speed when the ruggedness of the surface of all magnetic discs is measured in the final process of the working processes, and the surface condition of any magnetic disc is found not in full accordance with the desired working condition on the basis of the measured results. CONSTITUTION:The surface ruggedness of a disc 7 held by means of a disc holding unit 8 is measured by a photosensor device when the surface of the disc 7 such as a magnetic disc is texture-worked by an abrasive tape. This photosensor measuring device is provided with a sensor unit 1 where a pair of photosensors 2 are separately mounted on the respective vertical direction movable tables 3, and movable in the transverse direction along a transverse direction movable table 5, and at the same time, is capable of realizing a fine adjustment of the height of the photosensor 2 by means of a microhead 6. A comparison is made between the measured data detected by the photosensor 2 and the predetermined working condition set value, and the tape feeding speed is reset when the measured data are deviated from the set value. |
