Bath for electrolytic application of glossy zinc and lead alloy coatings, constituting an aqueous solution of zinc compounds, lead compounds, a glossing agent and a surfactant, characterised in that it contains zinc (II) methane and/or ethane and/or hydroxyethanesulfonate in the amount from 50 to 300 g/dm<3>, lead (II) methane and/or ethane and/or hydroxyethanesulfonate in the quantity from 8 to 100 g/dm<3>, as a glossing agent it contains a mixture of a compound with the generalized formula 1, where R1, R2 and R3 stand for H or CH3 or C2H5 or C3H7 in the quantity 0.1-18 g/dm<3> and/or a compound with the generalized formula 2, where R4 stands for H or Cl or Br or NO2 or OH or NH2 or OCH3 in the quantity from 0.01 to 5 g/dm<3> with formaldehyde and/or benzylidene acetone and/or methyl homologues of acrylic ester in the quantity 0.1-10 g/dm<3> and contains methane and/or ethane and/or hydroxyethanesulfonate acid in the quantity 100-400 g/dm<3> and a surfactant in the quantity 0.1-10 g/dm<3>.<IMAGE>
