<p>In the process, the starting material is dissolved in an electrolyte and the metals dissolved in the electrolyte solution are successively, corresponding to their electrochemical potential, each substituted and deposited by more electronegative metals. The electrolyte solution containing the dissolved metals is here passed continuously through a plurality of interconnected cells (1-12) in which the electrolyte solution is contacted in each case with more electronegative metals. Metals simultaneously deposited together are separated from one another electrolytically, and the metals thus redissolved are again each substituted and deposited outside the electrolysis cell by more electronegative metals. <IMAGE></p> |
