The selector rod (13) has rotational and axial movement freedom. The gear change shaft (14) is fixed radially but axially free. Between the two and connecting them is a gear change segment (15) which can swing about the axis (16-16) but is axially fixed. A cam (22) on the gear change shaft engages with a groove (18) in the segment which transfer rotational motion. The system produces a rotational motion of the selector rod upon an axial movement of the gear change shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - This gearbox selector is to be used for high performance applications. High performance requiring low assembly space.
