This rotating pressure coupling comprises a rotor (3) fitted to the rotating machinery and a housing (2). The housing has the required number of inlet ports (7) which lead to a ring shaped chamber (5). The chamber is sealed at either side by rings (6). The sealing areas are lubricated and cooled via oil which is applied through ports (15). The rotor has connection ports (9) which lead to the housing ring chambers through drillings (8). The rotor can be made to move axially by the utilisation of a spiral groove (17) in the housing into which a cam (18) attached to the rotor fits. ADVANTAGE - Better lubrication with increased working life.
