The NaCl selectivity during the electrostatic working up of sylvite is improved using Na Salicylate as conditioning agent instead of the previously used Salicyclic acid in the steps of the potash/kieserite splitting and of potash purificn. The amt. of Na salicylate used is 20-80 g/t charge
