The individual film strip sections are fed into an input station and are joined to form an endless chain by means of a leader strip. The first roll formation occurs after joining of the film strip sections (13) to form the chain by running in protective foil strip (16), so that between the individual layers formed by the film strip sections a layer is formed from the protective strip (16). During the processing of the chain formed by the film strip sections in the printer the protective foil strip (16) is transported outside the printer. After the run of the chain formed by the film strip sections and the leader strip (10) through the printer, the chain and the protective foil strip are brought together and are further wound into a roll. USE/ADVANTAGE - A re-order system for pictures and transparencies from developed film strip sections, protecting the sections against damage from sharp edges in the printer.
