Efomycins A-F; and their mixts. are new. They have the following elementary analysis: A and B; C61.3-63.8, H 8.2-9.4 and 0 26.8-30.5; C and D not quoted; E; C 61.2-63.5, H 8.2-9.4 and 0 27.1-30.1; and F; C 63.0-65.6, H 8.5-8.9 and O 36.5-28.5. Fast ion bombardment mass spectra include M + Na peaks at A, 1061; B, 1075; C. 931; D, 787; E, 1047 and F,917. Also ewnew are streptomycetaceae strains, specifically Streptomyces SB 1261 (DSM 3200), which produce these cpds.. |
