Profiled strip with tread surface coating

The steps (5) of a worn staircase are renovated by a profiled angular strip (1) with main shanks (4,6). The horizontal shank (4) is secured to the step tread (5.1), whilst the vertical shank (6) is secured to the step rise (5.2). A projection from the corner of the angle section forms a small with a lower U-section with a lower horizontal flange (12), a vertical web (13) and an upper horizontal flange (10). The recess between the flanges receives the edge of the new cover for the step tread.
