<p>1,1,1,4,4,4-Hexafluorobutane is produced in a high yield at high selectivity by reducing 2-chloro-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst containing an alloy composed of a first metallic component comprising at least one metal selected between platinum and palladium and a second metallic component comprising at least one metal selected from the group consisting of silver, copper, gold, tellurium, zinc, chromium, molybdenum and thallium.</p> |
