Foam generator, particularly for use in mining and tunnelling operations, has twin cartridges for holding the components to be mixed, a common mixing unit, and the unit for expelling the components from the cartridges into the mixing unit. The cartridges (3,4) are exchangeable and releasably connected with the pressure unit (5), and are furnished with pistons (19) corresp. to the pusher (7) of the pressure unit, and arranged so as to be simultaneously raised by this pusher. USE/ADVANTAGE - Two component in-situ foam dispenser for 'foamed in place' filling of small cavities e.g. in electrical agent, particularly in tunnels, to prevent accumulation of explosive gases; the device of the invention ensuring delivery, of the two components to be mixed, in 1:1 volumetric ratio.
