The workpiece fixture is constructed from an assembly of block elements (1; 2; 3; 4) of any desired shape cast from a resin bonded mineral concrete. The block elements are chosen according to the geometry of the workpiece and are then permanently cemented together at the joint surfaces (5.1; 5.2). Metal components such as clamping screws (11, 12) and locating pins (13) are moulded in position.
