Integrally moulded toggle fastener and method for moulding the same.

The fastener includes a body (1) with two elongate lateral arms (4), each one comprising a groove and a bore opening out between the arms (4) for the passage of a fixing screw (22), a toggle (2) sliding and pivoting on the arms (4) of the body (1) via two pivots (10) in their grooves with a ramp for interacting with the end of the screw (22) to make the toggle (2) pivot and an orifice for, in the tilted position, interacting with the fixing screw (22) and making the toggle (2) slide. Shearable pegs (19) are provided for temporarily holding the toggle (2), which pegs can be detached under the action of the screw (22) and which, when the fastener is inserted into a wall, entrain the toggle (2) with the body (1). The body (1) and the toggle (2) are moulded simultaneously as a single component from an injectable material. The fastener is well suited to fixing a component to a plasterboard.
