<p>PURPOSE:To save space for installation and to facilitate work by carrying out paper ejection and paper feeding in front of the device main body and having the original scanning direction to be at a right angle against the paper feeding direction of a recording medium to the image forming means. CONSTITUTION:An image of the original is optically scanned by moving an exposure lamp 11, a reflector 12, and a first mirror 13 along a horizontal direction a of the device main body 1 with a carrier. Then, a paper feeding cassette 8 which is housed freely extractably from a paper feeding opening opened in a bottom part in front 1A side of the device main body 1 in a paper feeding cassette containing part formed in a bottom part of the device main body 1, and the paper feeding direction of the copying paper P fed from this paper feeding cassette 8 is in a direction which is at a right angle against the original scanning direction a of an original scanning part 10. Thus, the installation space can be saved and the extraction of the recording medium at the time of paper ejection and the paper feeding work of the recording medium at the time of paper feeding can be facilitated.</p> |
