<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to set optimum waiting time by detecting the point when a relative transfer speed of an optical card and an optical head comes to zero and then allowing a tracking state to detect the arrival of a specified state and jumping an optical spot. CONSTITUTION:After the completion of seek, an optical card 11 moves to an optical head 12 relatively and linearly where the record and reproduction of the card 11 to an objective track are carried out and a status signal is read by a drive controller 21 by way of a second VCM drive circuit 26. The movement of the shuttle 23 within a fixed time is decided and detected by a relative speed 'zero' of the head 12 and the shuttle 23 based on a specified distance and below about the movement of the shuttle. After this detection is over, the controller 21 waits until the detected signal turns to the specified value and below from a tracking-state detection signal equivalent to vibration or the like from a track deviation detection circuit 20 and then outputs a detection signal and carries a track jump of an optical spot. This construction makes it possible to set an optimum waiting time which varies with a device and carry out definite track jump in the shortest time.</p> |
