PURPOSE: To provide a solder cup having an elastic holding part formed by blanking and bending work, and an electric connector in which mounting on the shaft, part of a contact is made easy by using the solder cup and assembly cost is reduced. CONSTITUTION: A solder cup 24 fixed to a shaft part 44 of a contact 22 accommodated in a connector 20 is almost cylindrical and has such a size that the shaft part 44 is accommodated. The solder cup 24 has at least one holding part 108 in the vicinity of a first end 92. The holding part 108 has a hole 90 having effective diameter smaller than the cross section of the shaft part 44 accommodated on the inside. When the shaft part 44 of the contact 22 is inserted into the hole 90 of the solder cup 24, the shaft part 44 is interfered and engaged with the holding part 108 of the solder cup 24. The solder cup 24 is electrically connected to the shaft part 44, and fixed to the shaft part 44. |
