COMPONENT REPLACE DATA PREPARING METHOD IN COMPONENT MOUNTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To reduce the load on an operator caused by preparing data, to shorten time for preparing data so as to improve an operation efficiency and to prevent data from being erroneously prepared so as to improve a component mounting quality by automatically preparing component mounting data at the time of completing the setting of a component feeder. CONSTITUTION:In reference to component replace data specifying the component feeder 2 which is alternately used when the running out of a component is generated in the operational component feeder in a component mounting device, the control means 3 of the component mounting device reads data on a component name and the quantity of the mounted component stored in the storage means of the component feeder 2 and prepares component alternate data of the operational component feeder 2 based on it. Consequently, component replace data can automatically be prepared at the time of completing the setting of the component feeder 2. Thus, the load on the operator caused by preparing data is reduced, the time for preparing data is shortend to improve the working rate and data is prevented from erroneous preparing to improve the component mounting quality.
