PURPOSE:To precisely fix the rotary polygon mirror by mounting the rotary polygon mirror on a rotating device, and then fixing a fixation member on a rotary shaft first and then interposing an elastic member between the rotary polygon mirror and fixation member. CONSTITUTION:The rotary polygon mirror 23 is mounted on the top surface of a flange 22 which is pressed and fixed onto the rotary shaft 21 and a retaining ring 25 is fitted in a groove 24 formed in the rotary shaft 21. A leaf spring 26 is interposed between the rotary polygon mirror 23 and retaining ring 25 to press the rotary polygon mirror 23. A hole 26b having a notched part 26a for inserting the rotary shaft 21 which is wider than the rotary shaft 21 is formed in the center of this leaf spring 26 and five collar parts 26e having slanting parts 26c and bottom parts 26d are provided at the periphery of the hole. For the fixation of the rotary polygon mirror 23, the rotary polygon mirror 23 is mounted on the flange 22 and the retaining ring 25 is fitted in the groove 24 first. Then the leaf spring 26 is inserted into the gap between the retaining ring 25 and rotary polygon mirror 23 while having its top surface in contact with the ring 25 to press and fix the rotary polygon mirror 23. |
