PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture processor in which a black character or a thin line in an original picture is sharply reproduced. CONSTITUTION:A brightness is calculated from picture data color-separated by a brightness calculation circuit 100 and halftone part (halftone picture area) and a dot area in the picture are detected by binarization circuits 113, 126 a half tone detection section 114 and a dot detection section 115 and the edges are detected by an edge detection circuit 111 and decision circuits 116, 117. Then a UCR 107, a resolution conversion circuit 108 and a filter 109 are controlled by an output from a thin line elimination circuit 119 and a saturation deciding circuit 112 to reproduce a black character and a black line picture more blacky with sharpness. |
