<p>PURPOSE: To convert a muse signal into other muse signal whose scanning line differs from that of the received muse signal by separating a chrominance signal and a luminance signal of a TV signal and sampling a signal in the chrominance signal and the luminance signal and extending the sampled signal horizontally. CONSTITUTION: An analog muse signal is received from an input terminal 165, converted into a digital muse signal at an A/D converter 189 and fed to a control signal decoder 176 and a de-emphasis section 116. The decoder 176 decodes a control signal received from the A/D converter 189 to generate a field identification signal, a luminance/chrominance identification signal, a sub-sample control signal and a data clock. An adaptive scanning line number insert section SV 5 converts the number of muse signals into a different number in response to a conversion mode instruction applied from an input terminal 115. Then a signal corresponding to the image mode in the chrominance signal and the luminance signal from the decoder 176 is sampled and extended horizontally by a time base adjustment section 64. Thus, the signal is converted into other muse signal whose number of scanning lines differs from the muse signal through the correlation.</p> |
