PURPOSE:To add identification information in a form not easily identified by human eyes. CONSTITUTION:C.M.K signals in picture signals converted into binary data based on the error spread system in the pseudo intermediate tone processing by a binarizing circuit 107 are outputted to an ink head drive circuit 108, which drives an ink head 109 to form an output picture. On the other hand, a yellow (Y) signal is led to a dot pattern detection correction circuit 110 from the binarizing circuit 107 and when a prescribed dot pattern is in existence, the pattern is replaced into other dot pattern by the circuit 110. Then a dot pattern addition circuit 111 adds identification information specific to the equipment comprising the eliminated dot pattern and the result is led to the ink head drive circuit 108, in which the picture is formed based on corrected picture data. |
