PURPOSE:To eliminate a window operation irrelevant to the edition as much as possible and to edit the logical structure of a structured document and the content of the document of a character and a pattern even in a display with a narrow display area. CONSTITUTION:A structured document editing device is provided with a logical structure editing means 31 editing the logical structure of the structured document, a document content editing means editing the content of the structured document by relating it to the logical structure of the structuring document, document allocation display means 5 displays the printing image of the structured document, a display control means 4 dividing the display area of one application window into respective function areas and managing the display of the logical structure and the document content of the structuring document and a document data managing means 1 managing the respective means. |
