A welding machine for welding together frames of plastic profiles 1 comprises at least one welding head, having two profile clamping units 2 which can be displaced in relation to each other in a clamping plane, which clamping units 2 bear lateral holders 10 for holding shims 11 which can be placed against the outer sides of the profiles. To ensure efficient, rapid changing of the shims, each clamping unit 2 is fitted with at least two shim holders 10, 8, of which at most the outermost holder 8, with respect to the frame, is arranged in a fixed manner and the other holder 10 is arranged in such a way that it can optionally be adjusted by means of an actuator 12 parallel to the clamping plane from a withdrawn starting position into an operative position, placing the associated shim 11 against the profile 1 to be welded. <IMAGE> |
