PURPOSE:To display a cross point at a designated position on a screen of a measurement device on the observation of an optical waveform (eye pattern). CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a pattern generating section 1 able to change a pattern of an output pulse, a signal oscillation section 2 oscillating a pattern signal with a certain frequency, a sampling oscilloscope 4 measuring an optical output waveform of an object 3 to be measured which receives an output signal of the signal oscillation section 2 and outputs an optical signal, a data storage section 5 fetching the optical waveform measurement data of the sampling oscilloscope 4 and storing the data in a form of a matrix, and a waveform change point decision means 6 retrieving the data stored in the data storage section 5 in the time axis direction so as to detect a change point of an optical level. |
