<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration due to a time difference and to obtain a proper predicted image by detecting a motion vector by matching oversampling parts which make field images higher in resolution than a frame image with an image memory. CONSTITUTION:A field image division part 110 divides an input frame image into field images. The divided field images are interpolated by the oversampling parts 111, 112 and stored in picture element memories 115, 116. Those memories 115, 116 output the respective field images of the predicted image to a frame composition part 114 according to the motion vector detected by a motion vector detection part 113. Further, the memories 115 and 116 output the interpolated reproduced images to a detection part 113, which matches the input images with reproduced field images of the corresponding fields for matching for the motion vector. Thus the deterioration due to the time difference is prevented and the proper predicted image is obtained, so the precision of the motion vector becomes excellent.</p> |
