PURPOSE:To provide an information recording system wherein the crush, of a waveform at the top end and at the back end of an information part, which is caused in an information recording operation is suppressed and the error rate of the piece of information is lowered when the information recording operation is repeated. CONSTITUTION:The title recording system is a system which performs the recording operation, the erasure operation and the overwriting operation of a piece of information by causing a change, in an optical characteristic, which is caused by a change in the atomic arrangement of an information recording medium which is irradiated with a laser beam. In an information recording system using a sector formatting operation according to an ISO-standard continuous servo tracking system, the beam optical power of an ALPC part in an information recording operation is set to a level between the power in the information recording operation and the power in an information readout operation and to a level which is higher than the power in an information erasure operation. |
