PURPOSE:To reduce complicated operation by providing an operation device with a sensor, and when the operation device is touched, allowing the operation device to display a menu screen. CONSTITUTION:This remote control device has a communication microcomputer 4 to be used as a commander for a TV image receiver, a video tape recorder, and so on. Command signals from various operation keys 5a, 5b are supplied to the microcomputer 4, a command signal is supplied to a transmission part 6 consisting of an infrared diode or the like based upon the supplied command signal and infrared rays corresponding to the command signal are generated. A touch sensor 7 is formed over the whole area of the outer frame of the commander. When the sensor 7 is touched with a user's hand, the sensor 7 generates a detection signal and a menu screen is displayed on an image screen. Thereby it is unnecessary to set up the menu screen by the key operation of the operation device. |
