Disclosed are a paging method, paging device, core network device, base station, and paging system. The paging method comprises: sending, by a core network device, a paging message to at least one base station within a paging region, the paging message comprising an identifier of a user equipment (UE) paged by the core network device; receiving response messages sent by at least one base station, each of the response messages comprising time information associated with a paging moment of the UE determined by the base station sending the response message according to the identifier of the UE, the paging moment being the moment when the UE receives the paging message; according to time information contained in each of the response messages, determining a timing duration of a paging timer and initiating the paging timer. The core network device obtains precisely time information associated with paging moment of the UE to enable a core network to reasonably configure a timing duration of a paging timer, thereby effectively ensuring that the paging message can be sent to the UE before the paging timer times out, preventing the core network device from repetitively sending the paging message, and saving an air interface resource. |
