The present invention is provided with the following: a single-phase inverter 11 which is disposed on the high-voltage side and converts direct-current voltage to alternating-current voltage; a transformer 12 which reduces the output voltage of the singe-phase inverter 11; a single-phase converter which is disposed on the low-pressure side and converts the alternating-current voltage applied by the transformer 12 to direct-current voltage; a battery 16 which is disposed on the low-pressure side and stores excess regenerated power; and a three-phase inverter 17 which receives the excess regenerated power and produces alternating-current power to be fed to a station load 4, or converts the output of the battery 16 to alternating-current power and feeds the alternating-current power to the station load 4. The charge-discharge control of the battery 16 is performed by a power conversion part of either the single-phase inverter 11 or the single-phase converter 13.
